Ingredients:
For Chole:
- 2 cups chickpeas
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
- water as required
For Bhature:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- water as required
Method:

Soak chickpeas in water overnight.

In a pressure cooker, add chickpeas, 1 tsp salt, and enough water to cover the chickpeas. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles or until the chickpeas are soft and tender. Keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.

For Bhature:

Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and flatten them using a rolling pin.
