Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of beef bones (knuckles, joints, and marrow bones)
- 1 pound of beef brisket
- 1 onion, peeled and halved
- 2-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
- 6 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 5 cloves
- 6 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 lb. of rice noodles
- 1 bunch of Thai basil
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 3-4 limes, cut into wedges
- 2-3 jalapeño peppers, sliced
- Bean sprouts
Instructions:
- Start by toasting the spices on a dry pot or wok. Keep stirring for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
